If development of own state is a criteria for choosing the PM, then Manik Sarkar should be the PM of India.. 1. NaMo keep saying he took 12 years to transform Gujrat. Dude, go to Tripura. In 2003, average number of people died in Tripura because of insurgency was higher than kashmir, but from 2007 onward, no insurgency reported at all (4 years !!).. Manik da never claims he did something. Thats called honesty. 2. All states are part of India throughout the year, but Tripura is part of India just for 9 months. 3 months during summer, all roads and railway lines to Tripura are blocked because of heavy rain and landslide in Meghalaya & Assam. What other people does in 12 months, Manik da completes it in 9 months... 3. Evan after all these, Tripura is Indias most literate state at present... 4. Being located in one of the remote corners of the country, Tripura saw almost similar transformation of roads compared to states like Gujrat, Maharashtra etc. 5. Manik da is a real common man. You can find the poorest minister of the country buying fish and vegetables from the local market.
