“If music be the food of love, play on...” but, what to play? WPR’s music staff have some wonderful suggestions for music to share with your beloved this Valentine’s Day. Check out some of their selections and tune in all week for music to help set the mood for a wonderful Valentine’s Day. Thanks to Stephanie Elkins for this contemporary suggestion: “If I Should Fall Behind” Bruce Springsteen wrote the song, and I especially love the version by husband and wife duo Robin and Linda Williams, frequent guests on A Prairie Home Companion. I chose it because the lyrics say so much in a very simple way: “If I should fall behind, wait for me. . .” In a long-term relationship, sometimes you grow and progress at different rates and in different directions for awhile – the song is a beautifully written affirmation that you and your partner can be there for each other, supporting each other on the journey. youtube/watch?v=itQzusWSNiI
