If the Earth had a vote in this election what would its priorities be? Would it vote to continue subsidies to the worst emitters of carbon pollution on the planet, while cutting the tax credits available for renewable energy projects? Would it stand in line to cast a ballot in favor of inaction on climate change and the disappearance of hundreds of species? Would the Earth side with climate change deniers in Congress who block legislation that could help us begin to address the problem of our changing climate? Or would the Earth vote for a sustainable future? A future in which the energy we use doesnt harm the planet. A future in which you can walk outside and not have to worry about whether youre going to need an asthma inhaler or that the water you use isnt contaminated with toxic chemicals. Tomorrow is Election Day. The Earth cant vote but you can. Tomorrow on November 4th, vote with the future of the planet in mind.
