If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail. This is an insightful statement made by reputed psychologist Abraham maslow. How true? He, i think, means to say that we have no single solution to a problem. A problem is the result of many factors and their complex relations. Trying to solve problems with limited knowledge and perspective does not help. We should have a comprehensive understanding of the problem. Psychology helps in this direction. It help us to know ourselves, others, and the whole situation in an objective fashion. It empowers us with self knowledge and enables us to adjust and achieve better in any given situation.
