If the worlds not happy . . . Im not happy. :) For the world, this has not been a happy week. The barbarism Im certain all here had hoped we would not see has not only been seen but grown substantially this week, and the suffering that attends it has spread beyond comprehension. Syria: more than 150,000 dead; more than 9 million displaced, probably the greatest displacement of refugees since WWII. Iraq? the nightmare is only beginning: the Borgs version of Islam has connections, immense plunder -- cash and arms -- and oil to sell . . . . And Moscow needs a psychiatrist plus a small army of political psychologists. Among the Jews, too many do not have the luxury I do of simply initiating a good Sabbath this evening. They have had other business at hand. However, to the peaceful in my community -- church, mosque, and synagogue goers, television watchers, late afternoon and early evening coffee drinkers, and all the colorful parade of humanity who have been busy doing good, life-affirming, productive things -- this was a long one, lol -- lets get some rest: Shabbat Shalom.
