If there is no bamboo, then there is no flute too! But, can the bamboo, as it is, render sweet tones? NO. Only when the bamboo is transformed, through a process,into melody-rendering object called flute, it then becomes capable of emitting sweet tones.The flute and its capacity to emit sweetness remains potentially hidden in the bamboo, till the bamboo is subjected to a process of transforming into the flute. Similarly, our REAL nature is potentially hidden within this APPARENT structure of body-mind-senses. We, through a process of yogic discipline, or any other transformative processes, must gradually bring in more light until the dark layers of ignorance gets removed and the Apparent gives way to the REAL to manifest in its full glory.The Apparent nature is fickle and inconsistent, while the Real is a constant force and consistent. Just as the sculptor chips out the unwanted stones from the lump of stone, thus giving form and character to the stone, so also, we need to chip out the unwanted pride and arrogance from the bamboo of ego and create a flute of humility which would render the sweet song of the light within. ।।हरि : ऊँ । । नमो नारायणाय । ।
