If theres anything worthwhile to copy from Bible times its the art of cultivating the land to grow your own food. Agriculture was a primary occupation of people in the Bible. The people of biblical times, both of the Old & New Testament periods, were essentially rural. Even those who lived in towns were close to the country & usually owned gardens or farms. The primary crops of the Bible include grain, grapes, & olives (Gen 27:28 ; Deut 7:13 ; Joel 1:10 ). (Holman Bible)
