If we are driving a car down a road in the rain, we turn on the windshield wipers. If we start looking at the rain or the movement of the windshield wipers, we will not be paying attention to the road, and we will crash. The driver is told to simply keep their eyes on The Road and not be distracted by the rain or the windshield wipers: Keep your eyes on The Road. That is all you need to do. We are driving the car of The Body, in the rain of Experiences, with the windshield wipers of Thinking turned on. Lifes Events are very confusing and frightening, and we try to cope with it all through our Thinking. We turn on the windshield wipers of our Thinking to deal with the rain of Events. As long as Our Focus is on the rain of Events or the windshield wipers of our Thinking, we keep crashing into all kinds of inner turmoil (fear, anger, and unhappiness). Keep your Focus on The Road. The Road is The Right Focus, and The Right Focus is Abiding as Awareness Itself.
