If you are born again, like Jesus spoke about in the Gospel of John, then you’re God’s elect. This means God opened up your understanding to know Him. The timing part, from our perspective is a mystery, because sometimes God’s people have an “event” in their life when He seemingly flips your switch to grasp what He has done. When this happens we repent of sin and our affections begin to turn to knowing and pleasing God. It’s all a work of God, 100%. If you feel God drawing you, you need to respond. This enlightenment is absolutely fantastic, and nothing compares to it. May God get all the fame for His mercy and grace toward me, a poor sinner and pilgrim here, until I am called into His unencumbered presence and realize the fellowship Adam & Eve once experienced before they sinned.
