If you are really concerned about the quality of peoples lives, be concerned about the rising cost of living, not their wages. You cant just raise a persons salary if their performance hasnt increased or they otherwise havent added more value in some way. They would have a much easier time surviving on the salary, that is perfectly in line with their qualifications, if the Federal Reserve was reeled in and massive government spending was reduced. You dont get to just make more money because things are more expensive--thats not how it works; thats not how any of this works.
