We recently learned that one of our foster volunteers passed away suddenly and leaves behind his 6 beloved cats. His family was able to take one but has asked for our help in placing the other 5. We are a very small rescue group and have no foster homes so were hoping other groups will help. The cats have been living all alone in the house since Aug 19 which is being emptied and renovated to settle his estate. So the cats are very scared and constantly hiding to get away from all the commotion. The family goes over to feed and change their litter every three days. Its breaking our hearts that our good friend, who helped us rescue so many cats, now has his own cats in desperate need. Tux (black & white), Red (red tabby), and Elliott (gray maine coon) are very friendly. Midnight (all black and Elliots sister) and a new orange & white cat are shy. Pictures are attached. All are indoor only cats and only the young orange &white cat isnt fixed. We (or the family) are willing to transport the cats anywhere and our group will donate $ if needed to get them up to date on their shots. There are so many rescue groups in the state and if just a few can take one cat each then these guys would be safe.
