If you didnt see the State of the Union last night then you have to see this clip at the end of Obamas speech which was the best part of the whole show regardless if you hate Obama or not. My fiancees cousin Cory Remsburg stole the show and deservedly so. He got the biggest standing ovation I personally have ever seen in my entire life which he deserves in every way. Cory is just one of thousands of wounded soldiers that have helped defend our country and those others are also greatly appreciated just as much even if theyre not on national television. Most of us cant even fathom the struggles Cory and others like him have been through and continue to go through. If anyone here ever complains or knows someone that complains about how much their life sucks or how miserable they are over dumb stuff that they could easily change with some motivation (just about all of us know at least one person like that), just think of Cory and other wounded soldiers daily struggles after sustaining a complete life changing devastating injury where in all honesty some shouldve been dead including Cory. Cory had a considerable portion of his head completely gone, couldnt speak, became blind in one eye, developed PTSD symptoms, couldnt walk or anything for a very long time and now needs assistance for certain activities amongst other unfortunate things. I personally couldnt imagine how scared Id be waking up from a coma like that with no sense of how much time has passed and sort of see whats going on around you and not be able to do anything about it or fully understand the situation. Could you imagine? Seeing him after the injury and seeing him last night completely blows my mind, I still cant get over how well hes progressed. He really dug deep and did everything he needed to to pick up the pieces and improve his life. Thats just something I think we could all use more of, dedication to a better life no matter how hard it is or how uncomfortable it makes us.
