If you find a bill with the words In God We Trust highlighted in red...it may have passed through my hands. I found a coin today Just laying on the ground But it’s not just a coin There is something else I found Upon further inspection wow Just look at what I see Four little words That mean the world to me. I took a bill from my pocket And another one too. I found that on all of those The words… it gave me something to do. They were there all along And now every day I can share With those I know and those I don’t Just because I want to and I care. I choose to highlight in my life And now on every bill to someone else I pass The things I buy will not be here forever But those words I know will forever last. I pray that those words In my life and those I love will be a must! I hope that we will take a stand And forever say, “In God We Trust” Lord help this land I live in, The land where I know the truth, Where every day I see things That turn my head because they are uncouth Lord help this land I live in The land that now I morn Because of a small gesture Help this land and the people in it be Reborn.
