If you hate the new Windows or have problems with it, or just hate the fact that you have to buy upgrades for Windows, Ubuntu is fresh air in that it is free from the start! I have used it exclusively for a little over 3 years. It comes with an Office Suite free, that you can open Microsoft Office attachments you receive in emails without having to buy Microsoft Office. Download it, and burn to a DVD and try it, you dont have to install it to test drive it. You just have to change where your computer look for a boot disc first, by hitting F2 at boot and changing the order in which your computer looks for an OS to operate your computer to move your DVD/CD drive to top. Then it will boot from the DVD you have burned with Ubuntu OS
