If you have wanted to learn Photoshop, you will have the opportunity to enroll in Introduction to Adobe Photoshop - CIS 1298 Topics/Issues in Computers, which will be offered at Wabash Valley College this Summer Semester. The class will be taught by Callie Casburn and will meet from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Main Hall 205, from June 5 through July 16. The Introductory Adobe Photoshop course will introduce users to the editing possibilities of Adobe Photoshop software. Students will learn how to use the Adobe Photoshop interface and access its expansive set of features. Lessons will cover the basics of saving and storing image files and defining the various processes used for image editing. Students will also become familiar with the image editing and enhancement features of the software. Lectures will explore the key concepts used for evaluating images and identifying possible corrections and repair methods. Students will digitally remove imperfections, apply color correction, add soft focus effects, and sharpen images. This Adobe Photoshop course will also give students an overview of layer features and layer management techniques, including adding, deleting, reordering, flattening, and duplicating layers.
