If you know me at all, you know that Im an advocate of the Tiny House movement. Im not saying that theyre for everybody, by any means. However, there are many of us that would be perfectly good with living in such a space-- especially those of us who are singular by nature. As person that would easily qualify for such a program (even if you put all of my income from the past 6 years into one year), obviously theres additional reason for me to embrace this, as well. Especially when its all too frequent to not know how long you may have a roof over your head, or if youll have one at all. I like the prospect of being able to contribute to the building of it, such as Habitat For Humanity does with their homes, and I also like the prospect of doing so for others, as well. Admittedly, I would prefer ownership, but thats not always an option thats viable, especially when income is that indeterminate, and ones dealing with things like property taxes and such. Either way, I think well see more of this both on a rental level and ownership level in the future. Not all of us need to live large, and some of us are adept at maximizing space utilization for function, when were allowed to.
