If you love a good car boot sale get yourself along to the one ran by Paisley’s Facebay Fundraising group. Facebay takes people’s unwanted goods and sells them on Facebook, with all profits going to charity. The brains behind the scheme, Paisley woman Irene McDonald, works with a group of local volunteers to raise cash. In the past two years, they have brought in well over £12,000 and have helped many good causes, including the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill and Motor Neurone Disease Scotland. The group holds a car boot sale every second Sunday at the Storage Vault car park ,53 Clark Street, Paisley. These run from noon until 3pm, and sellers - who can pay on the day - can start setting up from 11am. The next dates are July 13 and 27 and then August 10 and 24. Spaces cost £5 per car and all the cash raised goes to Facebay Fundraising.
