Weber is a good friend and an excellent, compassionate and caring veterinarian. Recently, the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners brought charges against Dr. Weber in order to remove him from veterinary practice. Their intent is to revoke his license so that he cannot continue to operate the Irondale Low- Cost Neuter/Spay Clinic and further to... close all the other Low –Cost Neuter/Spay Clinics in Alabama. It isn’t hard to understand the motivation in wanting to close down the clinics, when you consider that the President of the Board is paid by Limestone County, Alabama and The City of Athens, Alabama to euthanize unwanted dogs and cats. I am asking everyone that knows Dr. Weber to spread the word and go to the “Eye on the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners” Facebook page. And also to go to the Birmingham Magazine site and vote for Dr. William B. Weber as Birmingham’s Best Veterinarian 2014. It will be an affirmation from the public that we value the services of a veterinarian that puts the welfare of animals above money.
