If you tell yourself no one needs a semi automatic _______ (fill in the blank). You have grown up too isolated. Do you think the business owner defending his business in the middle of the LA riots didn’t think he needed one? Where was the police to defend his life, family and property from the hoards of looters and murders?? Are you so naïve to think that there could never be a situation in which you would need something other than a shotgun or single shot hunting rifle to defend yourself? Do you think it is possible that at some point in the future America won’t be the strongest nation in the world and there may be another country or group that doesn’t like us? Are you so naïve to think that you or your children or their children will never have to protect themselves from an invading army (happen in 1812 could happen again). Am I the only one that can imagine with the current state of our country, that after a 50-100 years of American decline that we could be invaded by a country with a stronger army than our own? Remember it is not just your right to bear arms we are fighting for, it is for your children’s, your grandchildren’s, your great grandchildren’s etc. Are you really that confident in your fellow man? What would happen after a major disaster? Do you think your life, family, or property wouldn’t ever be threatened by a mass of looters and murders (LA riots, Katrina, etc) Have you seen any of the gangs that commit crimes in countries where guns are banned? When there is no resistance criminals are emboldened and get stronger. Instead of one or two people breaking into your home or business, it is ten or fifteen. Don’t worry your single shot hunting rifle will hold them off. If you don’t think anyone needs a semi-automatic rifle you are simply too naïve!
