If you want to know about the prosperity of a city, look at its skyline. I see cities outside of Oklahoma City... China, Middle East, Japan, Dallas, and San Diego. Then, I look at Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Oklahoma is in a depression and has been for as long as I have lived here. It takes Protectionism to bring factories and jobs back to the USA... more especially to the heartland. Why? Because if we ever do have wars with our neighbors, our heartland has a lot of land between itself and the outer perimeter of our continental USA. So, am I the only one to have figured this out? Oil & Gas industry buildings are a start. But, the money is in pulling stuff from the Earth, making stuff from it, and then shipping.
