If youre looking for some new yoga routines on DVD, check out this one from Gaiam reviewed by Ronan Sanjay Bennett. GAIAM: Calorie Killer DVD by Collene Saidman Reviewed by Ronan Sanjay Bennett This workout video has a generous total of six routines, each a little over 20 minutes in length. In order to make the most of the video, one must keep in mind that a sense and ability of basic yoga positions is assumed, and one must have adequate balance to use the sets. In other words, the poses are called in a flow type manner, without introduction or instruction, so this reviewer would say that it is not for beginners or practitioners without a solid sense of poses by name and experience in a flow-type sequence. The sequences are modeled, but there are no safety queues and no instructor. Aside from the understanding that this is not for beginners, this is an excellent, high-quality video that offers challenging, portable, and complete routines. Since there are six different routines offered, one could practice for a time daily and have a day off, the same as I recommend to my yoga students. Here are the six routines that I feel offer a complete and interesting variety of practices: Constant Cardio Energy & Endurance Sustained Burn Calorie Killer Rise & Shine Balance & Restore This is another excellent Gaiam offering, sure to satisfy those whose practice includes positions for exercise and fitness. Available at amazon. Ronan “Sanjay” Bennett is a Registered Yoga Teacher and Personal Trainer.
