If youve ever wondered what it would be like for the Lincolns after the sun went down, you wont want to miss our Illumination Evenings. Today we use electricity to provide light during the longer hours that come with winter. Pioneers, like the Lincolns, in the 1820s would illuminate by lighting a fire, candles and lamps. On Tuesday, November 18 and Saturday, November 22, from 4:00-8:00pm visitors can visit the cabin at the farm to see what it was like in pioneer times as well as enjoy activities such as spinning, storytelling, music and much more. Walk the candle lit path to the Boyhood Farm and experience, first hand, what life was like by candle light. Youll have an all new understanding of the term Burning Daylight. Hope to see you there!
