Ihitte/Uboma Assembly seat: Youths urge Achi to run Hundreds of youths from Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area, Imo State led by Engr. John Ibe have pleaded with Arc. Achi Chris Achi to join the race for Ihitte/Uboma LGA House of Assembly seat in 2015 election. The youths who visited the home town of Christopher Ebere Achi in Umuoma Ihitte/Uboma described him as exceptional and superior among others. The call which was made yesterday inter alia said that Umuoma since the creation of Imo State has never represented Ihitte/Uboma in Imo State House of Assembly. While enumerating the qualities of Achi, the leader of the youths, Chigozie stressed that the time for change is now, adding that it is only quality representation will bring even development in Ihitte/Uboma. Ibe further described Chris (Achi) not only as a philanthropist but as Imo citizen with the passion to empower the youths and raise hope for economic prosperity in the area. He further cautioned youths to ignore money bag politicians and focus on politicians that believe in the upliftment of the youths with realizable agenda. Ibe also pointed out that with the experience of Chris Achi in his profession for over 15 years and community services for over 18 years youths should cue behind him to achieve their dreams. Stressing further, the leader of the youths Ibe begged Achi to yield to call of the youths and contest for Ihitte/Uboma House of Assembly seat in 2015. “We are assuring him of our support”, he said. In his response, Arc. Achi Chris Achi who thanked the youths for finding him worthy, also said he will pray to God and consult leaders in Ihitte/Uboma LGA before making any public pronouncement on his political ambition.
