Ikramul Haq Lahori to be executed tomorrow at Kot Lakhpat Jail Posted: 16 Jan 2015 06:49 AM PST download (12) LAHORE:JAFARIA NEWS NETWORK: 16 JAN.2015: Death row inmate Ikramul Haq alias Lahori being kept in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat prison will be executed on Saturday morning. Ikramul Haq, a member of banned militant outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, was sentenced to death by an anti-terrorism court in 2004 for killing a Shia three years earlier in 2001. He was to initially set to be executed on January 8, 2015, however, the ATC had declared a ‘compromise agreement’ between his family and the victim’s family as null and void for their failing to meet certain legal requirements. However, on January 12, an ATC in Faisalabad rejected the bail plea of Lahori as the plaintiff did not reach the court to record his statement. Hence the death warrant was re-issued as the complainant didn’t appear before the court to record the statement within six days over his willingness submitted earlier in writing to pardon the convict.
