Ill be honest with yall I dont read my Bible nearly as much as I - TopicsExpress

Ill be honest with yall I dont read my Bible nearly as much as I should, but Ive been reading a lot tonight and its been nothing but a blessing. Just wanted to share a little with you. Bear with me because I hope this is focused but it may seem a little scattered idk haha anyways here goes! In John 16 its talking about how its about time for Jesus to leave his disciple to go be with his Father. Hes telling them about how they may be sad now, but he will see them all again soon and it will be joyful. Likewise, we may feel alone or troubled, but we shouldnt be sad or even feel that way because we know that He is coming back soon, and that in itself is enough reason to be filled with joy. In verse 33 it says He has told us these things so that we may have peace. Because no matter what we do or where we go in the world, we are going to have problems. But we shouldnt be worried about those problems, because He has already conquered all and Jesus has overcome the world. Also in James 1 it says we should consider our current problems as pure joy, because we should know that with the Lord we can get through it and come out better because of it. I was trying to get all my scattered thoughts together and put them on this post, I really hope it made sense to yall! Haha :D
