Ill never forget waking up on the morning of 9/11/01. I rarely have nightmares and Im not sure this qualifies as a nightmare. Im not sure if I woke in the middle of the night or woke from a dream within a dream Inception-style. I remember waking to hearing a large group of people screaming in terror. The screaming didnt seem where I was. I checked my bedroom television and looked out my bedroom door to see if the living room tv was on. It seemed to come from the clock radio next to my bed. Every time I reached for my alarm clock it stopped. Those screams were horrible. Im not sure how I got back to sleep, but I did. I remember waking up the morning of 9/11. I felt relieved waking up. That dream with the screams was disturbing. I sit on my couch and turn on the television. It was just after the first tower was hit. Im not saying the two are connected, but it is for me. I dont think it was foreshadowing or anything like that. I so rarely have nightmares of any kind, but going from being relieved I woke up and then waking to the living nightmare of 9/11. Ill never forget.
