"Illegal Angolan immigrant jailed for battering his kids has won a battle against deportation after claiming it would breach his right to FAMILY life. Antonio Alfredo Bazomba, 49, was caged for two years for repeatedly punching and kicking his two sons and daughter. But an immigration tribunal rejected the Government’s attempt to deport him — even though it said he had “imposed a cruel regime on his children over four or five years”. It ruled deportation would breach the Angolan’s right to family life under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights."
