Im a huge Elvis fan too. I really like the Painted from Memory album that he did in collaboration with Burt Bacharach. It may seem an unlikely pairing, but the rough edges of Elviss voice save Bacharachs songwriting from getting too cheesy. Kind of like what Lennon did for McCartney. Anyway, even though Bacharach would seem quintessentially seventies, Im amazed that I love this album on every listen--these songs are actually timeless.
