Im about to get on my soapbox, so keep scrolling if vents arent your thing. So Ive seen a lot of people sharing the video of Justin Biebers Calvin Klein ad, and laughing at how he needed to be photoshopped for it. Just take a moment, and think how everyone would be reacting if a woman had to have her physical assets photoshopped in order for the ad to be profitable. Would that not make people outraged? Its the same thing. The media objectifies men AND women. Realistically, no one can fit into societys standards for beauty- not even celebrities. Instead of pointing and laughing at Justin because he had to be made more masculine for the shoot, maybe we should take a good long look at how ugly society is. Men can be short, tall, slim, or whatever they want to be. A man is someone who identifies as one. End rant. (P.S. I hate Justin Bieber but I hate gender roles/expectations more.) ✌️
