Im angry after reading this very misinformed article thats trying to confuse people on whats considered good and bad fat. The article says to avoid saturated fat and trans fat. Yes, by all means avoid trans fats but saturated fat is good for you! They are not one in the same. Not surprisingly, the people who wrote this article are affiliated with the Heart Foundation. What angers me the most is a list they created of what saturated fat supposedly is: Pastry Fatty or fried take-away foods Packaged cakes and biscuits All those things listed are actually TRANS FATS, not saturated fats! They are all made using vegetable oils or theyre fried in vegetable oil. Vegetable oil is a polyunsaturated fat and trans fats are vegetable oils that have been hydrogenated. Think of vegetable shortening or margarine. When things are baked with these things they become TRANS FATS! The article also says to consume lots of whole grains and to dat a low-fat diet. Umm…yeah, grains and low fat diets have been proven to cause all of todays modern illnesses because they contain copious amounts of sugar (or theyre metabolised into sugar)! Sugar is not a health food and its definitely not a better alternative to saturated fat. The myth of saturated fat has already been debunked many times, so why are these people still lying? How is this disinformation by these people not illegal? I want to see them all thrown in jail! Where are the people who are on our side? Why is main stream science so far from the truth and how is this allowed/tolerated? We need a real Heart Foundation to step in and to tell the truth to help save lives for real!!! https://coffscoasthc.wordpress/2014/11/30/fats-cholesterol/
