Your childs car seat does NOT lock on to the shopping cart. That click you hear is the bars on the shopping cart going through locking mechanism on the car seat, it does not mean it is locked on. Just that something went through the slot where the locking mechanism was. The safest place for your child is either in the shopping cart basket, in a stroller, or baby wearing.
