Im being passive aggressive with this post because the premise of Lucy had /no/ potential. The whole premise of the movie Lucy is wrong. The notion that people only use a certain capacity of the potential of their brain is a myth. When you do work, certain parts of your brain are used to do that while other parts rest. You have the frontal lobe for your dopamine system which acts to help with memory, attention, reward, and so on. That part of your brain is active in certain areas all day long, but never completely, to conserve energy. The same with the occipital lobe which is used to process vision. This is active during the day and goes practically dormant when you sleep. The parietal lobe is active when you are awake and kind of when asleep and processes touch, taste, etc. The temporal lobe helps with hearing and long term memory, as well as language memory and recognition. Those are the major parts of the brain. Parts work at different times only when they are needed. But that doesnt mean that theres something like a RAM in your brain. There isnt. Everyones brain functions differently; which is why you have people who are amazing at maths and sciences and others who are amazing at art and some people who arent amazing at any specific talent, but they can function just fine in many areas. But its only how different parts of the brain work. Not how much of the brain works.
