Im bringing such positive news! Today was the BIG appt with the oncologist to review the Oncotype DX score. That score determines the probability of tumor recurrence and uses genetic information from the original tumor cells to place the score from 1-100 thereby making it easy for us math-impaired folks to calculate a percentage. This score is what we have been waiting for to determine the most effective treatment options. Anything under 25 is considered low. Mine was 4!!!! The doctor said she had never had a patient with a score so low. So now, instead of chemotherapy, I will only need radiation and a hormone manipulation drug. I am so grateful. And that feeling is only a portion of the gratitude I feel for each of you for helping me through this waiting period. Now, we have a plan. And we all know I work better with a plan.
