Im cashing my check, what the heck, Ive made up my mind... Tired of the grind Theres gotta be more than these low down blues and the rain beating against my window panes. Giving my notice today, hey! I want the sun, I need some fun, while im still young Oh, baby you bet! I want to go where the champagne flows, forget all my troubles and woes, I want to whoop it up, kick it up, and laugh. I hate being stuck, I need some good luck. Im tuning up my old truck oh, yeah. Cuz Im getting out of this dreay old place,not leaving a trace, packing up that old suicase today. Tomorrow I could be in Malibu, Laguna or Honolulu..who knows? Where the sun always shines and the skies baby blue all the time. oh, yeah! Swimming and surfin, riding the waves, or doing th conga in cucamonga..how neat. Im blowing, Im going, Im getting out of this dreary ol place. Tired of the gray sky and sugar thats no lie. Bye, bye you lonesome ol cat! This was my feeble attempt at writing a song a few years back when I was bored watching it rain for 3 solid months straight. lol
