Im currently in Sigulda, Latvia... and there is a public park here in the city dedicated to WALKING STICKS. bicycletouringpro/blog/estonia-latvia-citybike-tour Apparently, walking sticks became popular here more than 200 years ago. The walking sticks were sold by farmers and manor owners to tourists who would come to hike through the beautiful hills and forests that are in the area.
