Im downsizing my Facebook. I think its sad that we live in an age where if you want to know how somebody is doing, we just look at their FB page rather than picking up the phone, sending snail mail, or messaging. We feel more social and connected, but really its getting less and less without the actual interaction. Its too easy to avoid real interaction, which can deteriorate relationships over time. I will be slowly making my friends list to only include family, people actively in my familys life, a few game friends for the couple games I play, and old friends that actually want to be in my daily life. I already deleted 100 people today. Its nothing personal if you get deleted, so please do not take offense. Just because I choose to not have you on a social networking website, doesnt mean I dont want to know how you are, and exchange updates on our lives. I believe that this all will result in better friendships, and will also get rid of the unnecessary clutter of friends that is no longer in my life. We all need to clean out the storage once in a while, right? If you wish to no longer stay in contact, I will understand. Even the best of friends can end up growing apart. If you still want to keep in contact, update each other on life, you are more than welcome to call, text, email, message, even snail mail (Id love to pen pal!). Just ask for my info :)
