This article focuses the US debut of a documentary entitles “Particle Fever”, which followed the research done by scientists at the Large Hadron Collider. The film has captured important events ranging from when the LHC was first turned on at CERN to the announcement of the discovery of the Higgs boson. It follows six scientists for the time period between these two major events incorporating their individual viewpoints with the science behind particle physics. The film features the scientists carrying handheld cameras while explaining important concepts, a method which director Mark Levinson says incorporates a “lecture” into the dramatic flow of a film. The closest location of the film’s release relative to Michigan State is in Ann Arbor at the Michigan Theater on March 31st. Watch the trailer below!
