Im going to ask a question of you, my readers... but I will preface it with what makes me ask. (Be sure to read to the bottom of this post for the Question!) Reading a newsletter this morning about an artists move to California and her realization that she had been collecting images and paintings of the California landscape ... told her she wanted to live there before she knew she was going to move. Her discussion is about why we purchase certain paintings? Is it because we want to be there or is it because it reminds of being somewhere? So... the question ... what makes you interested in the paintings of mine that you see? What do you see in them? Why would you purchase one? These are truly important questions for an artist to know.
