Im going to tell you a story tonight because the words are floating in my head... A week ago I got a call from my friend Lori Stjohn. Her daughter Candice Gilster was doing orientation at the Allina Commons. At first I was like sure , whatever the company was welcomed for the 1 1/2 hour drive to work. This young little girl is going to be a mommy- she is 25. She is not a normal 25 year old young lady. She is compassionate and kind, she is so proud to be a mom. As we drove I learned so much about her. I watched her talk to her unborn son, pat her belly, felt him kick. Each day I spent with her I really enjoyed her company. Now, oddly that would seem strange me being 44 - well almost, and my children almost grown, her - a young life so filled with promise and hope. She is going to make a wonderful mommy- why... Because she has an incredible support system - her mom is a Saint in human clothing, her step~dad which she calls dad is a incredible loving man. I just know she will make something of herself, I can only hope she knows that she has a cheerleader over her and impacted my life. I will do whatever I can to foster her education and help her... I hope she knows what an impact she made on my life ~ Thank you Candice for bring a smile to my face... Being such a strong young lady and if you need me. You know where i am.. Love you kiddo to the moon and back!
