Im gonna say this since Ive seen one one address this.. As a black woman with black children I feel the frustration and pain. No one wants to see their child murdered no matter what the circumstances are. But I also work in public safety. And to hear all the F#ck the police and kill the police is just down right dumb. The tension actually scares me and breaks my heart at the same time. We as EMS and firefighters cannot I repeat CANNOT and will not proceed into any emergency situation without the police having the scene secure for us. They are for our protection as well as your protection. Just because a person wear a certain uniform Means that everybody who wear that uniform is evil or have Ill intent. So think about this when you call 911 for a house fire or you mother or family member who is dying or in distress. We rely on the police to secure the scene before we proceed in and take care of our patients. It has been many of times were Ive called for police on a scene because the family was threatening or the patient was physically aggressive.. We are here to help you and your loved ones. And Im talking to the ignorant ones who are promoting violence. I love my people and I want justice also. But at the same time I want me and my brothers and sisters to go home to their families. So its up to you!! Please let us do our jobs. No hostile or negative situations please because it can cost your life or a loved ones life. At the end of the day, my life and my family is my priority. If I have to walk out and leave a situation due to it being hostile. I will be on the right and no law or charges will follow me. So please if you have to share my status or copy and paste it please do. Im doing his for the people and for my fellow public safety workers. Lets pray for better days..!
