Im in New York City. Have so many memories of this place from when I lived here 25 years ago. I want to share a memory. My girlfriend and I decided to go to Grenich Village to watch a band. The guy at the door told us there was a drink minimum even if we just wanted to see the show. We said no problem. He must have repeated this 3 or 4 times. My girlfriend and I look at each other w raised eyebrows. Neither one of us had been threatened to be kicked out of a bar for not drinking enough. I dont know how many hours or drinks later this same guy asked us to leave. Im sure I was slurring by this point and said didnt we drink the minimum. He said yes but now you hit the maximum. As we were leaving my friend was taunting the man saying I knew we could do it so there. She was so proud of us as she was hurling out the cab door. She told me we showed him!! I said yes we did. This is a proud moment for both of us!! Yea we sure showed him. Lol
