Im in a coffee shop in Nashville on a Sunday morning feeling blue, - TopicsExpress

Im in a coffee shop in Nashville on a Sunday morning feeling blue, but at the same time doing what I can do: Writing story pitches to magazines, touching base on acting projects, working on my book. Trying to sell home security to hillbillies via cold call has left me low. Its hard to convince hillbillies that they need home security. I get cussed out and hung up on a hundred times a day. Im like Dorothy. I want to go home. And then the coffee shop plays Zach Rogues song. And I flash back to Sunday school when I was ten years old and I remember the first time he walked through the door. He had cool clothes, and concert shirts Id never seen before, and knew more about music than any kid until then Id ever known. So as I struggle with my own journey and my own creative destiny, and with all the people in this world who use and abuse you and hold you down with their silence and judgements until you wonder if the sun will ever shine on your dreams or your true purpose in life, I just want to thank God via music for reminding me of the those who have crossed my path who are indeed doing it. And if their path is creating art that makes people happy, maybe Im not crazy in continuing to believe its part of my path as well.
