Im in love with the hip hop industry and its one of my favorite genres to listen to and compose music for... But when did it become okay for artists or rappers to handle things with such little professionalism? Why does a rapper feel its appropriate to email me with an inquiry, with ay bruh as the subject.. Then proceed to ask me to use an instrumental for free? If you cant even take the time to make sure your text body is grammatically correct, and youre asking for something for free with no offer given, why should I invest time into working with you, let alone respond to you? If youre planning on turning this into a career, (as you say you are because of how hard youre grinding) start with the little things. Give before you receive, treat the people you want to work with, with respect, use proper etiquette etc. Sorry for the rant, but I get multiples of these per week, and it frustrates me that dealing with these type of people is hindering my progression. I cant wait to be at the level where I finally make it out of this large fog of nobodies who put their swaggy egos first before quality of their work and proper business and communication skills. Once I do this my progression will skyrocket exponentially. But I guess rap wouldnt be rap without this right?
