Im in need of some help, I left early this morning and my dogs were fine but returned home to my chihuahua with abscess next to his rectum and it has popped and is now draining, puss and blood! I have called our vet and awaiting a call but any advise or help in mean time would be helpful . he doesnt seem to be in a lot of pain but keeps licking the area . I am keeping it clean and applying warm compress to area , seems to be helping it drain. He weighs 3 pounds and Im afraid to start amoxicillan because of his size and weight (he is 4 years old) any advice would be helpful please
