Im just wondering, has the church become a make up studio where we put all sorts of chemicals to cover the blemish on the face instead of curing them or a place for gold coating where people come in as wood and then coated as gold instead of turning them to gold. It baffles me when I meet people who are so churchy and very conspicuous with their Christianity; wearing the Christianity uniform, speaking the christianese language (they can hardly say a sentence without mentioning, God, Jesus or all those kind of spiritual terms). But just get much closer and you will discover how much of dirt they have covered up. That doesnt so much bother me, afterall we are all going through a process towards perfection. What gets me infuriated is how much they strongly defend their actions with the same Word of God that should have convicted them or in some cases how much they step out of their spiritual cocoon to defend their actions with mere nollywood sense and experiential insights. How can you claim to be so spiritual and you can go to bed after a clash with someone, expecting the person to appologize and you wake up in the morning and boldly rattle in those tongues when in actual sense you had a fault in the clash? How did you by pass the conviction of the Holy Spirit? How were you able to continue communing with Him with a grudge in your heart? You must be very ingenius. I salute your hard heartedness. But guess what, this same person will not dare allow a brother to shake her much less a side hug because she is fleeing from youthful lust. Is the sin of fornication worse than the sin of malice? Or you are only avoiding fornication because of public shame? Do you really love God or you are just a pharisee? How much of the fruit of the Spirit do you have? Or you think the fact that you function in all the nine gifts make you a true christian? Listen, Gifts are so cheap even a donkey prophesied. It by their fruits not their Gift that they are known. This obscene menace is more obvious in relationship matters. It is as if we throw away our spiritual senses when we get into that arena. A person says I love you yet too proud to be the first to accept their wrongs and sincerely applogize and yet he or she will never miss a quiet time. He is so vast with scriptures but He can get so angry at every and anything and He will tell you thats my person. You have a misunderstanding with Him or Her and it take ages for him or her to accept your deepest appology even the wrong is not yours. Its so disheartening when even christian brothers tell you that christian sisters are the worst to date or viceversa. I hope this makes sense to someone. But I am seriously worried. When men come to Christ, are we building Christ IN them or ON them? Are we really God lovers or God carriers? Are we really spiritual or just religious? Hmmmm.... excerpts from a discusssion I had with a friend today. This is worrysome. I hear the drop of tears in Heaven. I write this also with a teary eyes. His church is sick!!!! Where will men run to???
