Im learning from folks I know that more and more of them are ditching their hard line home phones and only using their cell phones. Im thinking about it. Since yesterday morning weve received calls on our hard line phone from Toll Free Number, Unavailable, Name Not Found, 1, etc. The number is now at 36. They never leave a message and some go so far as to leave roughly 1.5 minutes of dial tone and busy signal on the voice mail. Aggravating! I dont know how to block them and, if I did, they seem to have an unlimited number of phone numbers to use in their aggravating pursuit of . . . whatever. The few times Ive answered its always a pitch for a donation or something free if they can put a sign in my yard, etc. We support a number of charities and do some philanthropy work as well. I gotta tell you though, if I ever discover that any of them are selling or giving away our number as potential donors, theyre gonna be history! And the person on the other line always has a, yes, but dont you believe that every child should have a home . . . or other jabbing response to my, Weve closed donations for the next three years response to their spiel! There, Ive vented! Now, back to your regularly scheduled FB stuff!! :/
