Im less than a week away from moving. Ive helped people prepare for moves, worked with them through downsizing and almost every client has something they cant decide on keeping or not. Losing 400 sq feet in our next home and no basement storage allowed us to let go of so much stuff, and yes it can be difficult but its also freeing. I can say this move was a great learning tool for me to help others learn to let go. If I was aware of the power of it before I am fully aware of it now! Treat every object in your home as if you were moving tomorrow. Ask yourself if youd keep it if you had less space. That thought process will leave your home very uncluttered. I see less space as really so much more.
