Im looking for some opinions here. Im kind of toying with the idea of selling my mare because with a child and a job shes not getting rode like she needs to be. Shes the type of horse that needs to be rode regularly if shes kept in a stall or else she gets bored. Kahlua is an 8 year old Rocky Mountain Horse (not registered that I know of since I have no papers) mare, around 16-16.1 hands. She is the sought after dark chocolate with a flaxen mane and tail. She hasnt ever been bred before. Kahlua is well broke to ride, but not suitable for a beginner or child rider. She doesnt do anything wrong, but she has a bit of a motor. The amount of get up and go she has is the only reason I wouldnt put a kid or beginner on her. Shell ride in a snaffle bit and is learning to neck-rein. She will load in a trailer easy, but isnt fond of two horse bumper pull trailers. Kahlua will stand tied and is great for the farrier. She has no vices or issues at all. Shes easy to saddle and bridle. She has a smooth saddle gait as well. She knows how to lunge and is one of the best horses to lunge. She knows all the cues and commands while lunging and rarely ever pulls on the lunge line. The only reason I am looking to sell her is because I dont have time to ride her right now and shes taller than I really like for a trail horse. ( I have a hard time getting on taller horses. Lol.) Located in White Pine, TN With that being said, my question is this: What would be a fair asking price for her? What would you pay for a mare like her?
