Im not a cop. But I completely understand this POV and often feel the same in the work that I do. I didnt create the laws that protect animals, but Im doing what I can to support the people who did create those laws as well as the people who have to enforce them -- often despite huge odds, budget cuts, bias against just animal cases, a never-ending stream of people who lie to you all day or want you to disappear. I work with LEOs every day and am a fierce supporter. They do what they do because we must not do what they do, else chaos. Lets make this a great year by a) staying legal every way possible, and b) if a mistake gets made, own up to it and let the officer do her job.
