Im not posting this to dis anybodies grilled cheese sandwich. And yes some people will say it really isnt a grilled cheese sandwich anymore putting all these different things on it, but........... My question is why limit yourself? Make it a meal. This was my lunch this afternoon. Picture 1 Whole wheat buttered one side down, Brie cheese then olive tapenade, then pic 2 Prosciutto or Parmacotto speck on the last piece of whole wheat Brie side down butter on top. Pic 3 Slap it to the C.I. bacon press on top both sides..........4 A little Bourbon and cider, lunch. My kids didnt like plain old grilled cheese sandwiches. So I had to expand my cheese sandwich portfolio. I started making Buffalo chicken wing sandwiches. Some blue cheese some chicken or turkey breast, bread hit the Iron. Severed with wing sauce on the side. Meat loaf, meat balls, pizza type grilled cheese sandwiches. Of course my favorite is still grilled cheese with yellow American with tomato soup for dunking. I would like to hear what others have come up with.
